BRYAN POLLOCK - APPRENTICE ARTIST

OPERA SARATOGA DEBUT SEASON: Spirit and Ensemble in Dido and Aeneas; Ensemble in La Cenerentola.

Countertenor Bryan Pollock has performed in over a dozen fully staged operatic productions with lead roles including Oberon in Benjamin Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Orfeo from Gluck’s Orfeo ed Euridice.  His recent performances include the roles of Giulio Cesare with The Hawaii Performing Arts Festival and Endimione with the Pacific Opera Project.  Additionally he has given numerous art song recitals and has performed in a variety of choral venues. Mr. Pollock earned degrees in voice performance from East Carolina University and the University of California, Irvine.  In 2009 he studied abroad in Florence and Austria where he completed the Canta in Italia and the Franz-Schubert-Institut summer programs.  He currently attends Boston University working on a DMA in Voice performance while holding his own voice studio.  This winter he performs the role of Belize in Angels in America by Pèter Eötvös with Boston University Opera Theater.
