ELIZABETH PERRY - STUDIO ARTIST
OPERA SARATOGA DEBUT SEASON: Ensemble and Second Witch cover in Dido and Aeneas.
In season 2015-16, mezzo soprano Elizabeth Perry joins Opera Saratoga as a young artist covering the 2nd Witch in Dido and Aeneas. Previous opera credits include: Il Mondo della Luna (Lisetta), L’Heure Espagnole (Concepcion), Gianni Schicchi (Zita), A Wedding (Candace), Gallantry (Announcer), L’Elisir d’Amore (Giannetta), The Turn of the Screw (Mrs. Grose), and Noye’s Fludde (Mrs. Sem). In addition to complete roles, Ms. Perry has performed opera scenes from Carmen (Carmen), Werther (Charlotte), Falstaff (Meg), Amadigi (Amadigi), Dialogues des Carmélites (Mère Marie), Hänsel und Gretel (Hänsel). She graduated in 2013 with a Bachelor of Music from Oberlin Conservatory of Music. In May 2015 she will receive her Master of Music from Westminster Choir College, where she is recipient of the 2014-2015 Leo & Luc. Martin Scholarship Voice Award. She currently studies with Laura Brooks Rice and coaches with Susan Ashbaker and Dr. JJ Penna.
