TIM PETTY - APPRENTICE ARTIST

OPERA SARATOGA DEBUT SEASON: Ensemble in La Cenerentola and Dido and Aeneas; Aeneas cover in Dido and Aeneas; Jeff cover in The Long Walk.

Equally at home in a diverse range of repertoire from baroque to 21st century, baritone Tim Petty is a fine singing actor with easy dramatic versatility and a rich, engaging voice. In the 2014-2015 season he finished a two-year residency with Tulsa Opera where he was thrilled to perform on the mainstage; Mercutio in Romèo et Juliette, Slim in Of Mice and Men, Morales and Le Dancaire in Carmen, The Revival Singer in Elmer Gantry, and Antonio in Le nozze di Figaro. He also participated in two touring children’s productions, two productions with the Tulsa Youth Opera, and sang in studio artist chamber productions, Nick Carraway in The Great Gatsby and Frank Lloyd Wright in Shining Brow. Tim is thrilled to be an apprentice artist at Opera Saratoga this summer where he is understudying the roles of Aeneas in Dido and Aeneas and Jeff in The Long Walk.
